Our Story

Wolf Awaken was created by Catherine Nyland and Ole Kristian Odden alias Cat and Mulciber from Mortal Love in 2007. Since then we've been busy finishing and arranging our songs and finally alot of rehersals to prepare for the upcomming festival-season 2008.
In the spring of 2008 Silje Haugerud came along as our choir and Trond I. Pedersen came to be our lead guitarist.
Our music is inspired by many different bands, movie soundtracks and atmospheres. With a wide variety in sounds and genre's we're trying to create a kind of indie-pop/rock sound with alot of twists and elements that's seldom heard in todays popular music.

By the end of 2008 Wolf Awaken has played a variety of gigs in Norway. Most memorable was the supportgig for Anneke Van Giersbergen and Danny Cavanagh in June. We also played support for Dunderbeist in Elverum and our own outdoor gig in Hønefoss. Wolf Awaken were also hired for several private gigs, parties and different entertainment gigs.
